Sea Buckthorn Compote

Modern scientists have found that sea buckthorn berries have a complex composition and contain almost all of the vitamins from the famous science. Vitamin C is especially abundant in sea buckthorn; in its relative content, the plant is second only to wild rose and red pepper. Of the B vitamins, sea buckthorn contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B9. Vitamin K present in the berry is beneficial for metabolism. Vitamin P inhibits blood coagulation. Beta-carotene favorably affects the functioning of the genital, sweat and lacrimal glands. A lot of plant and provitamin A, vitamin E, as well as other useful substances – flavonoids, serotonin, organic acids (malic, oxalic and tartaric), trace elements (potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron), oils (9% in pulp, 12% in seeds), tannins, pectins, plant antibiotics, simple sugars (glucose and fructose, 3-6%).
